Who is this guy anyway?

Hi I’m Ryan.

When I was 4 I got my first guitar. A Harmony electric from the Sears catalog in 1990. I was smitten with guitar from day one. Buddy Holly was my true hero. At 12, I played my first paying gig with a couple of buddies, and by 17 I was playing nearly every weekend.

But I’m originally from an area of northern Minnesota where there weren’t guitar techs. So when something needed adjusted or fixed or I simply felt like modding my guitars, it was up to me to figure it out and keep the show on the road.

Over the years I’ve spent countless hours pouring over every aspect of my gear. Building and repairing tube amps, modifying every guitar I had and obsessing over what details made certain kinds of players more apt to play certain kinds of gear.

As is often the case, my dreams of making it as a career musician never came to fruition. But I still had a wealth of knowledge and experience and a desire to be a part of the music community. So I started designing and testing my own guitars, built from scratch in my basement shop in Topeka, KS. Now armed with the knowledge of repair and upkeep as well as the ability to build custom guitars and amplifiers, I’ve realized my true calling lies in this part of the industry.

“The results were WELL above what I was expecting. Ryan is a man of precision and patience. All of his work has been superb. He took the time to answer and address any concern that I had before, during, and after the process. I will most definitely be taking more gear to him to have serviced. I recommend him to everyone I talk to!”
